Application Software Sales Director-Insurance

We are looking for an experienced software or services Sales Executive to drive new business for a rapidly growing Group & Voluntary Benefits, Life and P&C application software sales team.  You will be responsible for qualifying, developing, and closing software license, maintenance, implementation and other services revenue with Tier 1 to middle market insurance carriers.  Candidates should have experience in selling some some sort of enterprise application software or enterprise consulting services into the Insurance industry. 

Candidates must have a strong track record of calling on C-Level and customers in leadership positions and in developing and closing software or services business.  Strong insurance industry experience is important.  Relationship building skills are essential both with customers, but also internally. 

Strong compensation base and commission, benefit plans and a chance to be part of a growing sales team with a state of the art product.  

Location: Remote, United States.

  • Facilitate the strategic software sales process
  • Identify, develop and close insurance application software and implementation services deals
  • Lead the RFx process
  • Quarterback the product demonstration process
  • Maintain a understand of the Life & Annuities or P&C business

Requirements/Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in B2B, enterprise software or services sales
  • Established relationships and presence within the insurance marketplace strongly desired
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of the Insurance industry preferred
  • Record of meeting and exceeding quota
  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical sales approach with focus on building relationships with clients
  • Thorough understanding of the enterprise sales cycle and show a methodical approach to moving opportunities through this cycle
  • Superior writing, oral communication, liaison and representation skills
  • Ability to perform as self-starter who can effectively work within a strong team culture while being independent in managing his/her business
  • Ability to analyze market trends and business data to identify new market potential.
  • Proven capability to negotiate effectively; balancing value and time to close
  • Demonstrably high levels of business/financial acumen
  • Possess the ability to understand complex client strategies and tactical requirements and to clearly articulate the company’s offerings to develop solutions that deliver value
  • Life & Annuities or P&C software or services sales experience
